Snow In New Orleans

The city of New Orleans and a number of neighboring parishes are under a Winter Storm warning until noon today.
A prior winter advisory is no longer in effect.

A strong low pressure system is causing rain, snow and sleet, according to reports at NOAA.gov. The unusual snowstorm is expected to bring wintry conditions to the area throughout the day, and could make traveling difficult throughout east central Louisiana, southeast Louisiana and coastal Mississippi.

This winter storm should dissipate quickly. Forecasters have predicted that temperatures will be in the mid 60's to low 70's this weekend.
