Delhi Election Results: Congress set to win Delhi, Sheila makes Hattrick

By Deepti Taneja

Breaking News! Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit is all set to make a hattrick, as Congress is in a comfortable position to win Delhi, according to latest trends of Delhi election results. Trends are available for all 69 seats that went to polls in Delhi. Congress is leading in 42 seats, while BJP is leading in 23 seats. Others are leading in 4 seats.

Some key leaders who won in Delhi are Sheila Dixit (Congress), Vijay Malhotra (BJP), Harsh Bardhan (BJP), Jagadish Mukhi (BJP), Haroon Yusuf (Congress), Dr. AK Walia (Congress), Kiran Walia (Congress) and Yoganand Shastri (Congress).

People in Delhi have rejected BJP's campaign on price rise and terrorism and they preferred Sheila's development policies in Delhi. Interestingly, Mayawati's BSP has received 12.5 percent votes in the current assembly elections. the party is leading in 4 seats, while Paswan's LJP is leading in two seats.

Despite trying hard to stall Sheila's march in Delhi, which went to polls just two days after the terror attacks in Mumbai, BJP had to bite the dust. BJP had expected to gain mileage from that incident and saw a clear swing in its favor. However, that did not happen and Congress retained Delhi once again.
